Barclay and Pamela
Barclay and Pamela share the responsibility of the stewardship of The Brew Creek Centre.
Pamela has spent her career leading major hospitality projects and programs in the wine and spirits industry. She is fully conversant in sales, marketing and operational challenges.
Barclay’s 50 year career has focused on developing and leading emerging technology companies. He is the driving force behind the significant eco sensitive programs and practices that are pervasive throughout our facility.
Together, they make a very dynamic and complimentary duo in guiding The Brew Creek Centre.
Liza Walli, Director of Operations
Liza is passionate about creating the ultimate guest experience for every person who comes to The Brew Creek Centre. For her, the combination of exceptional service, natural beauty, and environmental practices are what makes The Brew Creek Centre an outstanding place to work.
Liza has a degree in Hotel & Resort Management and Strategic Human Resources, and a range of experience from ski resort operations to luxury hotels and ecotourism in the Whistler area.
She is an avid traveler, outdoor enthusiast, and novice herbalist. Liza is a wonderful person to have on The Brew Creek Centre Team.
Stefan Vegelatos, Executive Chef
Stefan Vagelatos is a true West Coast chef. He believes in natural presentation of fresh, local, sustainably produced food, and the hard work of the people responsible. “My job is to take that healthy food and represent it with flavour, and beautiful presentation. I enjoy pushing my boundaries as a chef and introducing guests to cuisines that are new and exciting.”
Stefan worked eight years at the Rim Rock Café and is winner of Whistler’s top chef at Cornucopia. “Inspiration, for me, is all around us. It’s in the deep forests, and on the snow covered mountains that feed the rivers and run into our rich coastline. Cooking is a natural expression of all these things.”
Fiona Stewart, Event Manager
Fiona is excited to host memorable events at The Brew Creek Centre to guests who have never experienced this special place and its team of professionals who operate like a family.
She has worked in the industry for over a decade in the US, Canada and the UK where she completed an honours degree in International Hospitality Management at Oxford Brookes University and was recognized with awards for her achievements.
She loves early morning ski runs, hikes or bike rides where you can stop and take a moment to drink in the views and enjoy the silence.
Katie Iutzi, Catering Manager
Katie is a natural in the hospitality and service industry. Her warm and enthusiastic approach creates unique and memorable guest experiences at The Brew Creek Centre. “There is just something magical about weddings; I love helping to make their day perfect, down to every last detail.”
Katie has an extensive background in restaurant management, event planning and employee training. She refined her experience overseeing wedding and corporate event catering in the luxury boutique hotel sector.
Katie loves spending time with her husband and son, skiing on the beautiful mountains of Whistler, and exploring new restaurants and dining experiences.
